The basics of the lock are alright, despite being an ordinary, low security lock. The rubber shroud does a decent job of weatherproofing, but a brass padlock would have little issue with weathering anyways. The biggest issue I see is that either the quality control or design is overall poor. The first pin of the first lock I opened is set up much too short, so the key pin is completely in the keyway. With enough use, this pin will fall out or turn sideways, but either way, this lock will stop working.
