These work well, but the diameter of the lock where the chain goes through is a little bit larger. I wish it was smaller, so you have to use a little bit bigger chain. But works well on the door.
The padlock weighs a hefty 8.1 ounces, and I used them to secure my outbuildings. The tumblers rotated easily yet positively "clicked in place when I set the combination. A slide switch conveniently moves the lock ring, making this lock easy for one-hand operation. Exposed to the elements, these padlocks were in the rain and then our local temperatures pummeled to 4-degrees Fahrenheit. I wondered if the locks would have been frozen. In the extreme cold there were. But the internal lock cylinder is brass, and brass has excellent thermal conductivity. I used my gloved hand (heated glove) and in less than a minute the tumblers rotated, and the slide switch easily opened the lock.
These combination padlocks feel heavy and solid, but they need room. The shackle is about 3/8” in diameter: fine for most hasps but too large for one shed with a sliding bolt until I enlarged the hole with a drill. The lock is over 7/8” thick: too fat to fit within the handles of a shed with sliding doors. The shackle gap is 7/8” at the most and the depth is around a half-inch, which may pose clearance issues when locking together handles or chains. I do like the clean look of these locks when in place.No instructions were provided. The initial combination is “0000,” once the lock is fully open a screwdriver can be used to turn a slotted head in the back of the lock sideways. Set the preferred combination, return the slotted head to vertical, and done.While the numbers can be changed while open, the shackle will not move until the correct combination is displayed. The number dials can be difficult to rotate with old and cold fingers: not unexpected.Full disclosure: I ordered these HOX Combination Locks through the Amazon Vine program. When locked, these are very solid. Works well as a lock. But the combination dials are not super. They wiggle or flex inward a bit making them hard to turn. So when trying to open they tend to go almost flush with the face, making them awkward to turn to the desired numbers.Otherwise as expected, very easy to change the combination, and the lever to open/close the bolt is easy enough.I'm not sure the effort to cut this, but it would be arduous.I have these on gates, and they work well. Once locked.
They work well, but after a few months of exposure to the elements the plastic opening lever breaks off. The sharp metal under it becomes a finger slicer.

These are great for our community center because we can change the codes when we need to, but give someone a code to get in to one of our buildings if necessary.These also don’t make it easy for someone to use a bolt cutter on them. We feel much more secure with them.
It’s a chunk of metal that keeps the honest people honest. Metal plated instead of solid like some other disc locks I’ve owned. Unsure of performance during a wet freeze. The frustrating thing about them that even master locks are starting to do as well is the inability to scramble the code unlocked and be able to re-lock it. What in tarnations is that all about?
Great locks.. I own several self storage facilities and use these locks very frequently.
There was not a usable option to easily reset the combination. One of my locks was inoperable.

Three out of four locks only works
It is easy to operate even for those inexperienced with locks. I use these on an AIrbnb I oprate. Being non-electronic there is never a problem with exhausted batteries, wifi, internet and people who are terrified by “technology”. So simple!
